Bird songs penetrate the natural surroundings and inspire plant life to emit sound waves. The waves take on indistinct forms and reveal color characteristics of the flora from which they burst. The surroundings pass as if the viewer rotates in space and witnesses the event of sight and sound.
Matt Frieburghaus is an artist living in the Hudson Valley and is Assistant Professor of Digital Media at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Matt earned an MFA in computer art from Syracuse University and a BFA in animation from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where he started his formal education in the arts earning an AFA in graphic communications from St. Louis Community College. His work has exhibited in several American locations and around the globe in such areas as Chile, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
