Abstract:
“Audiophile” (2001) remixes of the sounds of the city, from Managua, Nicaragua to Mexico City to Manhattan. The sounds made available for downloading represent an investigation of the urban landscape with layers of electronic composition. The project makes these edited sounds available online for people to download and install onto their operating system so that the urban space may inhabit one’s computer desktop.
