Nanotravels adventures behind the decimal point (nanoreisen Abenteuer hinterm Komma). Why travelling to the distant stars when there is a universe to discover in a single waterdrop? In everyday life we are not aware that there is an abundance of worlds waiting for us beyond our perceivable horizon. The interactive virtual discovery journey through the worlds of microcosmos and nanocosmos aims for young people interested for a scientific background. The project is a mix between entertainment and education, using an active emotional approach rather than being too instructive.
The designers Patrick Jacobi and Sebastian Cremer met while studying at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden. Already during their professional training and after their graduation they gained experience in various agencies. In 2003 the friends pooled their skills: As a powerful team, along with Jan Künzel and Bjoern Pust they founded the design agency Lekkerwerken, located in Wiesbaden. Since its foundation Lekkerwerken has been awarded several prizes for its work. A successful start made possible by the team’s experience of many years in the areas of conception, design and implementation.
