John Melo – Totalidad – Colombia

Experimental sound-video project in which Totality is understood as the form of perception in which the Being is launched and held in Nothing. For this project it was essential that the conceptual, visual and sound process was guided by the hand of friends who knew the yagé medicine of the Kamëntša people in the Sibundoy valley (Tabanok), upper Putumayo, in ancestral ceremonies.

Bio:

Visual artist, designer and professor of audiovisual arts. He is interested in the relationship between arts, technology, ancestry, transdisciplinarity and experimental work. His work combines creative languages such as installation, sculpture, illustration, writing, sound and video mainly. He also participates in the art collective in Bogotá Blanco Conejo.
