This film was one of four PSAs released by the #MeToo movement, created by Tarana Burke in 2006 to support survivors of sexual violence and end it. Through the message “We hear you. We see you. We believe you”, the PSAs aim to rally survivors and supporters together in the fight to end sexual violence through testimonies from Terry Crews, Emily Waters, Daniela Contreras and an anonymous survivor. Narrated by the actual survivors, the piece that Hornet created was Daniela Contreras’ painful and courageous story, brought to life through animation that illustrates the emotional journey from pain to healing to ultimately finding a purpose.

Hornet Studio: Our work is driven by a thoughtfully curated roster of award-winning directors from around the globe who have cultivated their own unique voices but share a passion for good, classic storytelling. We believe the way to achieve true innovation and work that leaves its mark starts with understanding the very intention of a piece. Through the lens of our directors, we create rich worlds built from the nuances and small details that make your story your very own. Because we are not limited to any one way of bringing your ideas to life, we can focus on producing work that redefines what we thought we knew about storytelling. Together with our crew we are driven day after day by this mission and invite you and your story to come join us.

Natalie Labarre, Hornet’s own 2D staff animator, directed this powerfully moving and relevant film in collaboration with the ‘Me Too’ movement and the Deutsch agency
