Zin is a musical digital instrument developed to explore more or less direct relationships between gestures and sounds. Its interface, equipped with infrared sensors, allows the control of multiple sound parameters, with no physical contact. The instrument and its usage are works in progress, which search a balance between expressivity and simplicity, formalism and improvisation, transparency and ambiguity.
