Lying down on a hill with your pupils filled with the endless blue sky, the perspective of your eyesight suddenly gets distorted and clouds drift at the tip of your nose. You stretch your arms up to the sky to touch the clouds but can’t reach them. There’s another world right above your head.
Today, I visualize my colorful cloud of words right in front of your eyes. Touch the pink clouds drifting on a giant fabric screen and remember clouds of dreams in your childhood. I spent countless sleepless nights just to realize my unproductive and romantic cloud of words. But, wouldn’t it be nice if we could feel the clouds at our fingertips?
Everyware is a creative computing group formed in 2007 by Hyunwoo Bang and Yunsil Heo. Bang is an assistant professor of the New Media Lab in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in Seoul National University. Heo has an MFA from the Department of Design/Media Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles, and BA degrees from the College of Fine Arts and College of Humanities at Seoul National University.
Both are artists who explore intuitive, fun communications between the real and virtual worlds.
They have exhibited their works in festivals and galleries, including SIGGRAPH 2008, SIGGRAPH 2011 Art Gallery, Ars Electronica Center (Austria), the National Art Center Tokyo (Japan), Disseny Hub Barcelona (Spain), and the Victoria & Albert Museum (UK).
