Moving image artist Max Hattler studied at Goldsmiths and the Royal College of Art in London. To date, he’s made over 20 animation works, the most well-known of which are Collision, Spin, AANAATT, 1923 aka Heaven and 1925 aka Hell. His films have been shown at exhibitions and festivals all around the world, winning awards at Animate OPEN Digitalis, 700IS Experimental Film & Video Festival; KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival; London International Animation Festival; London Short Film Festival; moves Festival; St. Louis International Film Festival; San Gio; Skepto; Lago Festival; Videofestival Bochum; Videologia and others. Max lives in London where he teaches animation at Goldsmiths, and is studying towards a Professional Doctorate in Fine Art at the University of East London.
