AMPbEND – As a Start
Abstract:
Official video for “As a Start” made by artist Geso. Extracted from Fluid Walls EP (EN59) by AMPbEND, released by Enpeg. AMPbEND are the collaborative efforts of two amazing artist, Sergio Mesa (aka Nev.era) and David Jornet (aka Strange2). The video is a combination of glitch videos produced with a broken digital camera combined with new digital tools and assets, filmed over and over again using different processes, iridescent glasses, filters and prisms over a cathode TV.
Biography:
Also known as Pablo IA (Pablo Iglesias Algora, Madrid 1977) is an active creative mind involved in different art and design fields. As graphic designer and art director for GeeOhDee studio, as artist creating works for exhibitions in galleries and festivals (previously with his brother and partner), as dj and promoter of electronic music events and of course, as publisher and curator (since 1999) for his main project: Belio, an art publishing house and organization who runs exhibitions, concerts, festivals, conferences and workshops. Pablo IA actually lives and works in Berlin. Geso is the moniker he uses for his most personal work, specially focused in video-art and live-video performances. His videos are a combination of glitches, geometric graphics, landscapes and images from nature, evoking a short of lost paradise. He has presented his visual-set live at CutOut Fest 2012 (Queretaro – Mexico), Scope Sessions 2013 (Berlin – Germany) and Applied Sound Arts 2013 (Leipzig – Germany).
