Léthé
Abstract:
River Lethe in Greek mythology is one of Hades’ rivers. The souls of the dead had to drink from it, which made them forget all they had done and suffered when they were alive. Some ancient Greeks believed that souls were made to drink from the river before being reincarnated, so they would not remember their past lives. This piece is a short rhapsody imagined as if we were finally able to return to the truth by the power of such river. Photo: Sonia Esse.
