This eletroacoustic piece is inspired in the No. 8 Hilma af Klint’s Atom Series. I mix crickets chirping in different frequencies with the clink of Tibetean tingshas in order to create soundscapes that I subsequently modify and incorporate into the structure of a new piece. Fractals, subtle variations of the same theme: an atom moves along the thin line between order and chaos.

Bio:
Mexican sound artist and writer. She collaborates with the interdisciplinary collective Cúmulo de Tesla. She has presented her works in places such as the Faculty of Nuclear Science – UNAM, the Soundasaurus Festival, The Border Project, The FKL International Symposium on Soundscapes and the WFAE world conferences. On 2019, she received the Otherwise Fellowship. “An atom’s journey through the ether” is part of her research project.
