Alejandro Casales – Angbu-ilgu – Mexico

The work’s conception is part of the contemporary practice of field recording and digital composition. It tries to expose a temporal moment in Seoul through a set of sounds arranged in a musical expression. The work is named after the ancient Angbu-ilgu, the unique Korean sundial.

Bio:

Alejandro Casales studied in Mexico City at the National School of Music. Since then, he continues privately his studies of music and arts. As bachelor of Fine Arts and master in Cultural Management and Education, he equally cultivates the arts such as the repertoire of contemporary sound art and visual music, as well as multidisciplinary projects.
