The international New Media Art Archives Network is excited to present the inaugural Workshop on New Media Art Archiving (WNMAA), taking place from February 5–8, 2025, at the prestigious ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, Germany.

This workshop will feature a dynamic, hands-on approach to tackling the critical challenges of preserving New Media Art archives. By focusing on the latest technologies, innovative methods, and interdisciplinary strategies, participants will collaborate to shape a robust framework for a globally connected archival network.
Representatives from world-renowned archives such as ACM SIGGRAPH, Ars Electronica, FILE, and ISEA, along with independent researchers, will lead presentations, expert-led workshops, and collaborative sessions. Key topics include graph databases, ontologies, and AI-powered tools for archiving New Media Art.
