Abstract:
Visualisation of a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke, that he wrote at Castle Duino to the great love of his life: Lou Andreas-Salomé. The topic of the film is the place of writing – Castle Duino – the view out of the window as the initial point of Rilke’s inner reflections blended with a kaleidoscopic mixture of past and present, of space and time. In the end you can see the postcard with a star, that Rilke sent to Lou in remembrance of their common room in Bavaria, where the light came through the opening in the window shutter in the form of a star.
