‘Amateur Poetry’ consists of a video collage made through the appropriation of a series of fragments of videos which, when assembled, form a surrealist sequence; something similar to visual poetry. The work involves the manipulation of a series of videos which have been uploaded to the internet without any artistic intent. Through decontextualization, overlapping, and distortion of the original videos, an artistic work is created; questioning the idea of authorship and intellectual property.
