‘Data Is Not Knowledge’ is a video work that tackles the base material of the digital archive: Data. In it, I try to question how we interpret and accept every element of an artwork. By transforming and altering the 3D scans, I wish to return the viewer to the underlying data, and from there examine how we construct a narrative around these artworks. By constantly interrupting the viewer’s experience, I wish to show how data can be used to manipulate knowledge.
