The artist criticizes the destruction of Hasankeyf, a 12000-year-old historic city, in a video installation called Recurrence. The artist responds to this destruction based
on a symbolic phrase. Hasankeyf, an ancient city in eastern Turkey, was flooded by a dam built in 2015. Hasankeyf is a city with 12000 years of history, where many civilizations lived. This sentence is the phrase to liken the death of a human being to a shooting star in the sky.
