Albert Bayona – Pandemic – Spain
Inspired by the parallelism between two science fiction novel written by José Saramago and John Wyndham on the subject of a pandemic. Pandemic remixes scenes from the novels’ adaptations for films, very interested in their elegant black and white scenes with a small camera traveling and filming the extras on the floor, which were transformed by dyeing the scenes in blue and red.
After establishing himself as a painter in the late eighties, Albert Bayona moved towards digital art and new technologies. His work is linked to music and film and reflects on the mechanisms of deception and perception in cinema. His artworks involve many different disciplines like paintings, drawing, photography, video, digital technology and music. His projects have been presented and awarded worldwide.
