Nicolás Rupcich – Archipiélago – Germany/Svalbard

Archipiélago was produced in the Arctic Circle. It focuses in the link between image production and remote territories. The work was composed with video and graphic elements, which were produced through photogrammetry by scanning arctic glaciers, translating them into 3D models. The different types of images are mixed in the video, leading to loss of information due to its saturation. The project questions the technical capabilities and effects of translating the sublime into data.
