Karina Acosta – 30 POR CIENTO – Argentina 

A sequence shot. A time of the year: December 23rd. A place: a shopping mall, all the shopping malls. 30 POR CIENTO is a representation through consumption where no one escapes, where we are all part of it and where the slowing down of the sequence plane unveils a state of belonging thanks to a discount.

Bio:

Born in Buenos Aires in 1970. She is a filmmaker and visual artist. Her works have been part of group and solo exhibitions in galleries and contemporary art museums. Her video works combine videoart and expanded cinema. Her videos were screened in the cities of Berlin, Kolkata, Kassel, New York, Madrid, Marseille and Winnipeg. She lives and works in Buenos Aires.
