An urban intervention and workshop series that explores the relationship between surveillance technology and the built environment. By transforming traditional kites into camera-equipped drones, the project enables participants to experience the city from a new perspective, capturing fleeting moments from above. Drifting in the wind and connected to the operator by a string, the camera kites show the tension between control and chaos, creating fanatically moving images of the urban landscape.

Bio:

Founded in 1997, Assocreation is an artist collective based in Vienna (AU) and Ann Arbor (US). Its members work on a wide range of interactive installations and urban interventions. The group is best known for its award-winning interactive installations that often manipulate the ground the public walks on.
