Abstract:
This simulation solves the Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible fluids in a GPU fragment shader using a mixed grid-particle model. Click and drag to apply forces to the fluid and add color, making it look somewhat like marbled paper.
Biography:
Amanda Ghassaei is a research engineer and creative coder in San Francisco, CA. She is passionate about open source hardware/software and enjoys building simulations and other software tools to assist creative processes. She received a Masters from the MIT Media Lab in 2016 and a BA in Physics from Pomona College in 2011. She currently works in the Creative Intelligence Lab at Adobe Research, before that she was a technical editor, contributor, and software developer at Instructables.com.
