Abstract:
As you start working with this virtual lathe machine, you will carve into the imaginary space defined by numbers and calculations. Surfaces can be seen as viewports to a calculated world, ready to be explored and tweaked. A central building block is the use of Perlin noise, for wood grains, fine details in metal or marble-like patterns in the stone.
