This work takes as its concept the shipwreck of Pehuen-Có, Argentina. Soundscapes recorded in Argentina, and in Cuba, coexist with electronic sounds and the sensitive contribution of the artist Jezabel Ticiana De Los Santos, with her Tibetan instruments and her voice. This work contains a textual quote to the beautiful piece “Cantos lejanos” by the composer Raúl Minsburg.
Bio:
Ricardo de Armas is a composer of electroacoustic music, a sound artist, and a cellist, who frequently interacts in his creative work with other means of aesthetic communication like performance, dance, musical drama, video, photography and interventions in public places. Ricardo de Armas has been cellist in the Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial de Bahía Blanca since 1988 until now, in parallel with his activity as electroacoustic composer and sound artist.
