Hernan Roperto – Matéria Escura (O espaço no meio) – Argentina

The project is inspired by the Dark Matter theory studied by astronomer Vera Rubin, and explores the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, the real and the mysterious, Science and Art. The images are generated from sound waves. However, they invite the viewer to focus attention on the interstices, on the dark, on the space in between.

Bio:

Hernan Roperto is an audiovisual artist and engineer. His projects combine art, science and technology. He is a specialist in projection design, video mapping, creative programming, and real-time video. He is interested in the analysis and aesthetics of sound visualization, generative processes, computational algorithms and geometric abstraction.
